GACC: $100,000 to $5 million USD available for investment

Our good friends over at the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves would like us to share this funding opportunity.

Dear friends,

The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (Alliance) has identified the creation of a thriving global market for clean cookstoves and fuels as the most viable way to achieve universal adoption of clean cooking solutions. An essential part of the strategy to create a thriving market is attracting more finance and investment to the sector, which is why increasing investment is one of the six global value propositions identified in the Alliance’s strategic business plan.

In order to reach our goal of 100 million homes adopting clean cooking solutions by 2020, the Alliance is looking to generate just over a billion dollars in investment in the sector by 2020.

As part of our ongoing effort to build capacity and broker investment, the Alliance will provide up to 12 enterprises with tailored support to refine their investor pitch and an opportunity to compete for direct access and substantive discussions with investors. Enterprises currently working in the clean cooking sector and seeking $100,000 to $5 million USD in outside debt or equity investment are invited to complete the simple 3 page application form, which should take no more than 2 hours to complete. Applications must be submitted by July 21, 2013 11:59 pm EDT.

Please visit http://www.cleancookstoves.org/funding-opportunities/pitch-and-deal-room.html for details on how to apply and for additional information on the Alliance’s investment strategy.

July’s Alliance newsletter will provide more insight into our plan to help the sector become more investment-ready, but because of the July 21 deadline, we wanted to make sure you receive this information now.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Radha Muthiah
Executive Director
Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves

  1. We just started a Pilot plant for manufacturing Biomass Fuel, in Uganda.
We were interested in financing our production facility – both Capex and Raw material Purchase.
    Any help?
