\n\t\t\t\t\t\tL'initiative Harvest Fuel (HFI)<\/strong> est un programme ax\u00e9 sur l'impact d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par Le projet de charbon de bois (TCP)<\/strong> et MIT D-Lab<\/strong>. HFI offre aux producteurs de carburants alternatifs une formation, un mentorat, un soutien financier, un soutien technique, des ressources en ligne et un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un r\u00e9seau d'entrepreneurs. L'in\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les sexes demeure un d\u00e9fi mondial pour le d\u00e9veloppement. En Afrique de l'Est, les femmes continuent d'\u00eatre d\u00e9savantag\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9ussite scolaire, de participation\/d'opportunit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques et de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e91<\/sup>. Les femmes entrepreneurs se heurtent encore \u00e0 de nombreux obstacles pour d\u00e9marrer et g\u00e9rer une entreprise. Ces barri\u00e8res comprennent,<\/p>

  1. un \u00e9cart important dans l'\u00e9ducation et la formation g\u00e9n\u00e9rale aux affaires et \u00e0 l'entrepreneuriat,<\/li>
  2. la tendance \u00e0 avoir de petites entreprises informelles, qui n'ont pas la capacit\u00e9 d'attirer des capitaux et de se d\u00e9velopper,<\/li>
  3. moins d'acc\u00e8s au cr\u00e9dit en raison du manque de garanties car les actifs familiaux ne sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas au nom de la femme, et<\/li>
  4. faible estime de soi\/confiance dans les capacit\u00e9s commerciales, ce qui pousse les femmes \u00e0 se lancer dans des projets \u00e0 faible risque.<\/li><\/ol>

    Tous ces obstacles entra\u00eenent un faible taux de r\u00e9investissement et donc une croissance plus faible pour les entreprises appartenant \u00e0 des femmes2<\/sup>. Les programmes TCP visent \u00e0 aider les femmes \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences pour surmonter ces obstacles, afin qu'elles puissent g\u00e9rer en toute confiance des entreprises et acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des capitaux pour la croissance et viser une participation 50% des femmes \u00e0 ses programmes.<\/p>
