I am impressed with your vision- Regionalization of the the Carbon finance registration other than registering small projects.

The Programme for Biomass Energy and Conservation (ProBEC) has been disseminating these stove and barn technologies in Malawi for several years and is developing a carbon programme that incorporates its Malawian component. This will be a Regional Carbon Facility that encompasses many SADC (Southern African Development Community) countries, thereby minimising the registrations and transaction costs for smaller projects thereby enabling them all to enter the carbon market. ProBEC is a SADC project implemented by GTZ. For more information on the SADC Regional Carbon Faclitiy, contact ProBEC's carbon development officer, Mr Zane Abdul, zane.abdul@gtz.de

Those interested in reproducing these and other stoves can get designs and production equipment (for example the clay moulding machine for the Esperanza Stoves from www.newdawnengineering.com

A number of open source designs are available including the Esperanza Stove, Lion Stove, FSP paraffin stove, StOvs Cooker and the Maputo Ceramic Stove. Some open source coal stove designs are available.

Thanks for the trailblazing!
